Programs and activities of Kwilu Province Bureau for the month of October 2020
AHDO is pleased to present the various programs and activities conducted by its Kwilu Province Bureau. Below are the activities conducted by the Kwilu team under the leadership of Dr. Steve Nzunzi.
During the week of 28 Sept to 02 October 2020, the team met with the Director of Kikwit Educational Province and discussed about the School Garden Project to be implemented by the AHDO Organization and Farmers' Action.
During the week of 05 to 09 October, the team visited the Institute of Application (IDAP) and also presented the school garden project.
During the week of 12 to 16 October, the team recalled the visit of the officers of the CNSS (National Social Security Fund) to know the number of workers registered with the CNSS and to know whether they are provided medical care by the employer. CNSS encouraged AHDO to register with the CNSS. For any work-related illness, CNSS takes good care of the workers and their children who are also entitled to a sum as part of the family allowance.
The team also visited a local organization called BAK (Agroforestry Bank Kwenge-Kwilu) located 35km from the city of Kikwit in the Bulungu Health Zone. They also visited their corn fields. The team has observed observed that the workers lack the working tools, seeds, motivation, and technical skills. However, the population is motivated and ready to join any initiative that will be in the direction of preventing Malnutrition.
The team also visited DGRAD (General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, State and Participation) and discussed important issues.
AHDO Kwilu Province Bureau was visited by different local NGOs who came to inquire about AHDO including the Head of Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) of the Provincial Directorate of Health (DPS) from Bandundu City also visited AHDO.
