AHDO AND "AMOUR DU PROCHAIN" with its Medical Center of the same name (ADP-CMAP) signs an Agreement of Partnership.
01 September 2020: African Health Development Organization (AHDO) based in the DRC and "AMOUR DU PROCHAIN" with its Medical Center of the same name (ADP-CMAP) based in Kinshasa signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to mutualize their efforts in order to facilitate the achievement of the objectives that both associations have set for themselves.
The purpose of the agreementl is to enable AHDO and ADP to develop a partnership focused on various projects in favor of, among other things, the promotion of food security through the prevention of precarious situations and diseases due to malnutrition that lead to recurrent, yet preventable diseases, deaths among children under five years of age, pregnant and nursing women in Kinshasa-Kingabwa.
AHDO and ADP are jointly responsible to:
- Mobilize health facilities, the Kingabwa Health Zone, and the population for the prevention of malnutrition and poverty;
- Reduce food and nutrition insecurity among children under five years of age and their mothers ;
- Improve the nutritional status of the population ;
- Perform their duties responsibly, appropriately and with integrity.
- Conduct field surveys on the extent of malnutrition and poverty in Kingabwa and formulate community development projects;
- Establish a quarterly exchange, monitoring and evaluation framework between AHDO and ADP-CMAP;
- Organize training for CMAP service providers supported by AHDO to provide better personalized support to children and households affected by malnutrition.
Amour du Prochain, "ADP", is a humanitarian NGO member of civil society that advocates for access to quality health care, health education, malnutrition among children under five years old, promotion of family planning and poverty eradication; the reduction of inequalities; the empowerment of girls and women; the eradication of sexual and gender-based violence; the prevention of teenage pregnancy and early parenthood; the preservation of nature; agropastoral activities; hygiene and sanitation.
ADP was established in Kinshasa on March 18, 2004, which works in the humanitarian and medical-sanitary field, declared to the Ministry of Justice under the approval number F. 92 /18.812 (n° JUST/SG/20/1241/2012) of August 28, 2012;
The organization serves the population in the well-being and food self-sufficiency both by learning income or wealth generating trades and by implementing numerous initiatives for the requalification of the living environment to promote both individual and collective prosperity;
ADP Contributes to the promotion of public health, develops social communication and research through its Medical Center "Amour du Prochain" (CMAP);
ADP has head office and administrative headquarters located at Avenue Lac Ntumba No. 11, Yaounde district, in the commune of Limete ;
