About AHDO

Alliance for Humanitarian Aid & Development Organization (AHDO) is a Somali, non-governmental and non-political organization established in 2020 and headquartered in Mogadishu. AHDO works to support vulnerable and crisis-affected communities through principled humanitarian assistance, protection, early recovery and community development.

Our work is organized around two strategic pillars:

Humanitarian Aid & Protection – Food Security & Livelihoods, Health & Nutrition, WASH, GBV Prevention & Response, Protection, PSEA, Emergency Response and Early Recovery.

Development, Education, Arts & Civic Engagement – Education & Skills Development, Arts & Culture for Civic Engagement, Youth Empowerment, Women’s Empowerment, Climate & Environment, Livelihoods, Animal Welfare & One Health, and Research & Learning.

AHDO’s goal is to connect humanitarian response with sustainable development, empowering communities with dignity, skills, opportunities, resilience and meaningful participation.
